2026 "Capture Taoyuan" Short Video Competition: Call for Entries

I. Overview

Organized by the Taoyuan Department of Cultural Affairs, guided by the Ministry of Culture and the Taoyuan City Government, and executed by the Taoyuan Culture Foundation, this competition aims to promote the scenic beauty and cultural heritage of Taoyuan. We invite creative minds to explore local gems and capture the city's stories through diverse perspectives.

II. Competition Information

  • Theme: Creations must be based on people, events, time, places, or objects related to Taoyuan (e.g., cultural customs, landmarks, natural landscapes, or daily life scenes).

  • Eligibility:

    1. Campus Category: Students currently enrolled in domestic senior high schools, vocational schools, or higher education institutions.

    2. General Category: Open to all individuals regardless of nationality or age.

  • Submission Period: From now until Friday, April 17, 2026 (115th year of ROC), at 17:00.

III. Technical Specifications

  • Duration: Within 90 seconds.

  • Format: Vertical video (Portrait).

  • Resolution: 1080x1920 (Full HD) or higher.

  • Aspect Ratio: 9:16.

  • File Format: MP4.

IV. Awards & Prizes (Per Category)

  • 1st Place: NT$ 30,000, Certificate, and Trophy.

  • 2nd Place: NT$ 20,000, Certificate, and Trophy.

  • 3rd Place: NT$ 10,000, Certificate, and Trophy.

  • Honorable Mention (3 winners): NT$ 5,000 and Certificate.
